Runescape Skill Magic Part Four: The Magical Items (Clothing and Armor)

Now that you’ve seen the magical items that are in the jewelry and headgear category you are now going to see what is out there in the clothing and armor categories. These will tell you what boost you’ll be given and how you can get the item. These are all very good to have as a mage or any caster in the game of Runescape.

Magical Shields

These defensive items are used to either boost your magic ability or make you better able to use your magical ability.

  • Dragonfire Shield – This is from doing the Dragon Slayer Quest. It is from the Lumbridge Castle’s Duke Horacio. It gives nothing to magic attack but +2 to magic defense.
  • Elemental Shield – This is a reward from the Elemental Workshop quest. It will give zero in magic attack and +6 to magic defense.
  • Mind Shield – This is a quest reward from the “Elemental Workshop 2” quest. It will give you zero in magic attack and +9 in magic defense.
  • Mage’s Book – This needs at least a 60 in magic to use, it is held like a shield. It will give you +15 to your magic attack and +15 to your magic defense as well.

Miscellaneous Magical Body Armor/Clothing

These items will either boost your magic skills or it will give a better chance of you using your magical abilities better.

  • Black Robe, Wizards Robe – These are from the dark wizards. They will give a +3 to the magic attack bonus and they will give another +3 to magic defense as well.
  • Wizard Boots – These are a reward from the Treasure Trails. They are going to require a level 20 magic. They will give you +4 to magic attack bonuses and +4 to magic defense bonuses.
  • Robe of Zamorak – This robe is obtained from the Necromancer. It will give you +2 in the magic attack bonus and gives +3 to magic defense bonus for all characters.
  • Third Age Robe Bottom, Third Age Robe Top – You will have to have a defense level of 30 and a magic level of 65 for these. It will give you a magic attack bonus of +19 and a magic defense bonus of +19.
  • God Capes – These are received when you go to the wilderness mage arena and defeat Kulodion. It gives +10 to magic attack bonus and +10 to magic defense bonus.

Set Magical Body Armor/Clothing

These items will boost your magic skill, will make you more able to use your magic ability, or give some form of help in magic skill.

Splitbark Items

  • Splitbark Top - These are going to require a level 40 in defense and 40 in magic. They are for sale at the wizard in the Port Sarim tower. They will each give a +8 to magic attack and +15 to magic defense.
  • Splitbark Legs - These are going to require a level 40 in defense and 40 in magic. They are for sale at the wizard in the Port Sarim tower. They will each give a +6 to magic attack and +10 to magic defense.
  • Splitbark Gauntlets, Splitbark Greaves – These are going to require a level 40 in defense and 40 in magic. They are for sale at the wizard in the Port Sarim tower. They will each give a +1 to magic attack and +2 to magic defense.

Mystic Items

  • Mystic Gloves, Mystic Boots – You can get these in the Magic guild if you have a defense level of 20 and a magic level of 40. These will each give you +3 to magic attack and +3 to magic defense.
  • Mystic Robe – This is for +15 to magic attack and +15 to magic defense. You will need to have a level of defense of 20 and a level of magic of 40. It is obtained in the magic guild.

Moon Clan Items

  • Moon Clan Armor, Moon Clan Skirt – These are during the Lunar Diplomacy quest and can be bought. They will each give +5 to the magic attack bonus and +5 to magic defense bonus.
  • Moon Clan Cape, Moon Clan Gloves – These are also obtained during the Lunar Diplomacy quest. They are bought. Each of them will give you +2 to the magic attack bonus and +2 to the magic defense bonus.
  • Moon Clan Boots – These are able to be purchased at the quest of Lunar Diplomacy. It will add +2 to your magic attack and +2 to magic defense.

Ahrim’s Items

  • Ahrim’s Robetop – This is found in the Barrows and it will give you a +30 to magic attack and +30 to magic defense.
  • Ahrim’s Robeskirt – This is also found in the Barrows, and it will give you a +22 to your magic attack bonus and a +22 to your magic defense bonus.

Skeletal Items

  • Skeletal Gloves, Skeletal Boots – These are from the Waterbirth Island dungeon from killing Wallasakis. They will give no boost to magic attack or magic defense bonuses.
  • Skeletal Body – From killing Wallasakis on the Waterbirth Island’s dungeon. It will give you +8 to magic attack and +15 to magic defense.
  • Skeletal Legs – On the Waterbirth Island’s dungeon, you need to kill Wallasakis to receive. It will give you +6 to magic attack and +10 to magic defense.

Infinity Items

  • Infinity Gloves, Infinity Boots – You will need a 50 in magic and 25 in defense to wear these. They are part of rewards of the mage training arena mini game. They will give you +5 to magic attack and +5 to magic defense.
  • Infinity Top – To wear, you’ll need a level 50 in magic and 25 in defense. It is a reward in mage training arena mini game. It will give you +22 to magic defense and attack.
  • Infinity Bottom - This requires a 25 level in defense and 50 in magic. It will be a reward in the mage training arena mini game. They will add +17 to both the magic attack and magic defense.

Enchanted Items

  • Enchanted Top – This is a reward for the level 3 Treasure Trail clues and needs a level of 40 in magic and 20 in defense. It will give you +20 to magic attack and +20 to magic defense.
  • Enchanted Bottom – This reward from the level 3 Treasure Trails clues will give you +15 to magic attack and +15 to magic defense. They require a level in magic of 40 and a level of 20 in defense.

Ghostly Items

  • Ghostly Cloak, Ghostly Top – These are from the Ghostly Robes mini quest. They each will give +5 to magic attack and +5 to magic defense.
  • Ghostly Gloves, Ghostly Boots – These both are from the mini quest of Ghostly Robes. They give (each) +2 to the magic attack bonus and +2 to magic defense bonus.
  • Ghostly Bottom – From the Ghostly Robes mini quest in game, it will give you +3 to magic attack and +4 to magic defense.

Lunar Items

  • Lunar Cape – This requires a defense level of 40 and magic level of 65. It is from the Lunar Diplomacy Quest. There is no addition to magic attack or defense.
  • Lunar Body – This is from the Lunar Diplomacy Quest and needs a level 40 defense level and a level of 65 in magic. It will give +10 to magic attack and +12 to magic defense.
  • Lunar Gloves – Part of the Lunar Diplomacy Quest, it will require you to have a defense of 40 and a magic of 65. It will add +4 to magic attack and +2 to magic defense.
  • Lunar Boots – Requiring a defense of 40 and a magic level of 65, it is part of the Lunar Diplomacy Quest. It will add +2 to both magic attack and magic defense.
  • Lunar Legs – This is from the Lunar Diplomacy Quest and it requires a 40 in defense and 65 in magic. It will add +7 to magic attack and +9 to magic defense.
