Guild Wars is the top free MMORPG game and players everywhere are falling in love with the characters, story, and scenery. With the

newest expansion Eye of the North: Guild Wars players are offered a chance to enter the world of dungeons and receive new loot. Heart of the Shiverpeaks is one such dungeon in Guild Wars that has impressive rewards for completing the dungeon or killing bosses. This dungeon consists of 3 levels where the final battle will find you face to face with either boss; Cyndr the Mountain Heart or Magmus if you have already completed this dungeon. You will also find heckets, elementals, insects, and spiders that are levels 20 through 24 with the final bosses a level 29 or 28. You will also find a few level 15 fungal spores or parasitic growths.

The first time you complete this dungeon you will need to obtain the quest Heart of the Shiverpeaks. This quest is automatically given to any character that is eligible for step 8 of the Against the Destroyers quest. You will get the Against the Destroyers quest upon reaching Boreal Station, this is a primary quest. If you choose to run this dungeon again you will not need to have the quest.

Location and Navigation of Heart of the Shiverpeaks

Finding your way to the location of and then navigating through any dungeon in Guild Wars can be a challenge in itself without mentioning the bosses, your henchmen not listening, and other problems that can arise. Dungeons are spread out all over Eye of the North in hidden locations that you must discover yourself. There will not be a marker on your map to the location of any dungeon unless you have taken your character to the spot and uncovered it. To reach Heart of the Shiverpeaks you will need to only need the quest Heart of the Shiverpeaks. For additional dungeon runs travel from the Central Transfer Chamber to the Battledepths. After entering the Battledepths head southeast and look for the dungeon entrance.

Follow the inside dungeon map carefully to avoid unnecessary fights and going down the wrong tunnels. Here are maps of the 3 levels inside Heart of the Shiverpeaks.

Light of Deldrimor Locations

Almost every dungeon in Eye of the North: Guild Wars has treasures to discover and allies to fight by your side. Heart of the Shiverpeaks is no exception. If you carry the Light of Deldrimor skill on your skill bar and use it in the correct locations you will discover a whole new level of making gold in dungeons. Here are the Light of Deldrimor locations inside the Heart of the Shiverpeaks dungeon.

First Floor

  • Directly after the area map will be a Hidden Treasure.

    Dwarven Ghost Guild Wars

  • By the first resurrection shrine will be a Dwarven Ghost.

Second Floor

  • The first resurrection shrine on the second floor will have 3 Dwarven Ghosts.
  • The room south and then north for the Dwarven Ghosts will have 2 additional Dwarven Ghosts to discover between the 2 doors.
  • The last resurrection shrine will have 2 Hidden Treasures.
  • The exit on the second floor will have another Dwarven Ghost.

Third Floor

  • The beginning of the third level, east of the pool, will be a Dwarven Ghost.
  • North west of that Dwarven Ghost will be another next to a different pool.

Heart of the Shiverpeaks Rewards

At the end of the Heart of the Shiverpeaks dungeon a chest will spawn that is called the Mountain Heart Chest. This chest will open one time for each player giving 2 items in hard mode and 1 in normal mode. This specific chest awards:

  • Crafting Materials; Diamond or Onyx Gemstone

  • Naga Shaman Polymock Piece

  • Gold Item; some exclusive to this dungeon include the Embercrest Staff and Singing Blade

  • Unique Item; Magmus’ Staff or the Edge, Heart, or Aegis of Cyndr.

Upon completion of the Heart of the Shiverpeaks dungeon your character will also receive 2250 Dwarven reputation points in hard mode and 1500 in normal mode. These numbers are cut in half for additional dungeon completions with your character. This dungeon is used for farming Dwarven reputation points because of the large number of enemies. Many times people utilize this dungeon for chest runs and avoid most, if not all, mobs only focusing on the final boss.
