Now that you know about some of the hard-hitting, monster weapons in Warhammer, lets go through some of the other deadly weapons that gamers can use.

    Pointed But Deadly

In the second part of this series, we discussed some of the massive, bone-thumping weapons that players can wield in the game. In this part of the series, we will be going through other weapons that are just as deadly: daggers, spears, staves, choppas, and halberds.

While daggers are some of the smallest weapons in the game, they are extremely sharp and concealable weapons that exploit the weak areas in armor. In the game, they are weapons and tools of dark rituals for the Witch Elf career in the Dark Elf race, as they are the only weapons that these gamers can use. But, Zealots and Witch Hunters can also use these sharp, deadly weapons to their advantage as well.

In WAR, spears are like in other MMORPG games. They are a long shaft with a pointed end, usually a wicked-looking metal tip that is used for slicing through enemies without getting close to them. These are great for those careers in the game that have ranged weapons, but need a great close-range melee weapon to use when mobs get too close. The Squig Herder is one of the main careers in the game that will use this type of weapon.

Staves are much like spears, but act like staffs to those magic users who need a bit of an extra boost when it comes to increasing their stats in the game. They are great melee weapons for these spell casters as well, and most of the careers who use staves are deadly with both their spells and their staff.

The choppa is an extremely crude weapon that is normally made from metal and wood fashioned together to make a wickedly evil looking death stick. The Greenskins are the only race in the game that can use choppas, and they use them with deadly force. Choppas are known for being dull, rusty, heavy weapons that will both slice enemies and crush them at the same time – hence the name “choppa” (chopper).

Halberds are long, wonderful melee weapons that have a massively brutal blade at the end. These are normally carried by warriors in the game that have learned to use them like a sword and a staff so that they can take down opponents in several different ways – just depending on what mood they are in. No matter how these warriors use these weapons, every ways is extremely lethal.

The next article in this series on equipment will go through bows, grenades (yes, you get them in this game!), and the different types of guns that are available – pistols and rifles.
