This unique fighting game from Midway combines classic kombats, puzzle as well as RPG elements. It was released by Midway in October 2004 for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 platforms. The plot continues from Deadly Alliance and features Onaga, the Dragon King as the main antagonist. Onaga conquers realms of sorcerers Shang Tsung, Quan Chi and Raiden, defender of the Earth realm. This results in a tie-up between these three survivors who confront the Dragon King to reclaim their worlds.

With 9 new characters (there are total 26), Deception boasts several new features including a chess-like game and a Tetris-like puzzle game. The story mode is similar to Deadly Alliance but follows the life of Shujinko who is tricked by Onaga to search for six Kamidogu’s to boost the Dragon King’s powers.

There are many cheats and glitches for Mortal Kombat Deception that make gameplay quite enjoyable. Here are some of them that may give you a chance to defeat your enemies more easily:

How to Get Mortal Kombat Koins Easily?

  • Unlimited Koins from Movado:

First complete the Konquest mode successfully and then journey back to the Order Realm. You will see Movado in a black dress strolling around the central pyramid. Finish his requested mission and acquire 500 sapphire koins. Now here’s the trick: speak to him once again and get additional 500, repeat this procedure to get unlimited koins.

  • Get more rewards/koins in Puzzle Kombat mode:

For this you will have to configure the difficulty levels of Puzzle Kombat and Regular Kombat. Select “Novice” in Puzzle mode difficulty and Max in regular kombat. Now, whenever you play puzzle kombat, you will achieve higher rewards/platinum koins in spite of the difficulty level selected to novice.

  • Get Unlimited Platinum Koins in Konquest Mode:

Inside a house in Edenia (coordinates E-8) you will see an old man. He will offer 500 platinum koins if you search for his lost necklace outside the castle (coordinates G1) and return it to him. Just repeat the process and get unlimited platinum koins.

Netherrealm Language Easter Egg

Mk: Deception screenshots

MK developers are always doing something new to entice fans. One fun Easter Egg of Deception is the Netherrealm language. The babblings sound really absurd, but tha fact is that the Netherrealm people talk backwards. Recording their voices and playing them in reverse will do the trick. MK developers are expert in anagrams and did something similar with Noob Saibot. Spelled in reverse it reveals names Tobias Boon (the two main developers of MK, Ed Boon and John Tobias).

Cheats and Hacks for Alternate Costumes, Stage Selection and Easy Wins

You will have to unlock a character’s costume in the krypt. Then return to the character selection screen, press the Start button and select the costume.

Choose any Stage:

In practice or versus mode character selection screen, press R1 and select your favorite kombat stage.

Defeat your Opponent Easily:

Most gamers love to know more about Mortal Kombat Deception cheats or hints that help them defeat their opponents. This cheat has some button-mashing to achieve this feat. When you fight against an opponent press these buttons:

Upx3/Down/Up/Down/Circlex2, /Triangle/Squarex2.

The opponent will be helpless and unable to block your kicks and punches and will automatically lose half of his blood. Please note that this trick is useless against Scorpion.
