Raiden’s Attacks

Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe utilizes four attack buttons, identified in the game (and also in this guide) as Attacks 1, 2, 3, and 4. The following table lists which button corresponds to each attack on both the Xbox 360 console and the Playstation 3 console. The button combinations for the Xbox will be listed first and the PS3 button combinations second below:

Attack 1 – X or square

Attack 2 – Y or triangle

Attack 3 – A or X

Attack 4 – B or circle

Block – RT or R2

Throw – LB or L1

Klose Kombat – RB or R1

Rage – LT + RT or L2 + R2

Raiden’s Style Moves

• Fast Rear Punch – attack 1, maximum damage 3%

• Traveling Thunder – attack 1, attack 1 – maximum damage 6%

• Roaring Thunder –attack 1, attack 1, attack 1 – maximum damage 11%

• Kenpo Fury – attack 1, attack 1, attack 2 – maximum damage 15%

• Sudden Energy – attack 1, attack 1, attack 4 – maximum damage 13%

• Power Fist – left + attack 1 – maximum damage 11% and knockdown

• Mid-Section Blow – attack 2 – maximum damage 5% and crumple

• Reaper – attack 2, attack 4 – maximum damage 12%

• Static Fury – attack 2, attack 4, attack 3 – maximum damage 19%

• Heavenly Hand – left + attack 2 – maximum damage 7% and pop-up

• Rock Crusher – attack 3 – maximum damage 7%

• Oath Breaker – attack 3, attack 2 – maximum damage 16% and crumple

• Side Pain – attack 3, attack 4 – maximum damage 12%

• Wind Cutter – attack 3, attack 4, attack 2 – maximum damage 19%

• Fast Rear Kick – left + attack 3 – maximum damage 2%

• Swapping Side Kick – attack 4 – maximum damage 5%

• White Lightning – attack 4, attack 2 – maximum damage 14% and crumple

• Stomp Your Feet – attack 4, attack 3 – maximum damage 12%

• Justice for Me – attack 4, left + attack 1 – maximum damage 16% and knockdown

• Leaping Lizard – attack 4, left + attack 4 – maximum damage 14% and knockdown

• Windy Kick – left + attack 4 – maximum damage 9% and knockdown

• Low Punch – down + attack 1 – maximum damage 2%

• Uppercut – down + attack 2 – maximum damage 13% and pop-up

• Low Kick – down + attack 3 – maximum damage 2%

• Reaching Low Kick – down + attack 4 – maximum damage 2%

Raiden’s Super Moves

• Energy Teleport – down, left, attack 3 (no damage) – a very fast teleport attack that puts Raiden behind his opponent, a good one to save to finish them with, if they haven’t seen it before, they won’t even expect it.

• Vicinity Blast – down, left, attack 2 – maximum damage 15% – A short-range, wide area blast that knocks jumping opponents back and sets them up for a counter attack.

• Lightning Blast – down, left, attack 1 – maximum damage 11% – another chargeable projectile attack, like Vicinity Blast that’s good for teaching your opponent not to jump in.

• Lightning Shock – right, right, attack 2 – maximum damage 13% and knockdown – nice grab and shock attack that teaches people not to mess with a god.

• The Superman – right, right, attack 4 – maximum damage 10% and knockdown – works good against jumping attacks.

• Projectile Cancel – down, right – no damage – good to fool opponents and then changing your attack.

Raiden’s Pro Moves

• Cleansing Light – down, left, attack 3, down, left, attack 3 – this attack is the cornerstone of Raiden’s ability to mix it up; you can change the direction of Raiden’s attacks multiple times and keep your opponent wondering what’s next.

• Blinding – right, right, attack 2, down, left, attack 3 – This attack teleports Raiden out of Lightning Shock and setting your opponent up for additional combos. Make sure you input the Energy Teleport input as soon as Raiden connects with the punch.

Raiden’s Finishing Moves

• Fatality 1 – Raiden reaches out and says hello with a lightning blast, one last time.

• Fatality 2 – Raiden puts you six feet under, literally picks you up and plants you.
