About Armor - Guild Wars Kryta Armor

Armor in Guild Wars is customized to each character when crafted. Armor cannot ever be worn by anyone other than that specific character that crafted it.

A character may wear up to five pieces of armor at a time consisting of: headgear, chest armor, hand armor, leg armor and footwear.

Armor is obtained from armorers in exchange for gold and materials or trophies. Collector armor is also known as Guild Wars Kryta Armor which is obtained through trophies (collectible items that drop from foes).

The color of armor starts out as a basic shade (usually gray) and may be dyed by dye found in the game or purchased from a dye trader. Colors available include: black, white, silver, brown, gray, orange, purple, red and yellow. These dyes may be mixed (up to four) to create a unique shade for your armor.

Guild Wars Kryta Armor is available only for the core professions: Elementalist, Mesmer, Monk, Necromancer, Ranger and Warrior. Krytan armor is only available in Prophecies, Factions and PvP.
