Overview

If you’re unfamiliar with the game The Incredible Hulk, you can read more about it here, without the spoilers that will be revealed in this article. If you’ve already played through it however, you may have missed out on a few achievements you can earn in the game. Like so many other Xbox games before it, The Incredible Hulk has some noteworthy and fun achievements to strive for. This article in no way will cover them all - since there really are a ton - but we will touch upon some of the more interesting and enjoyable achievements you can earn. Without further ado, lets see what there is to discover in this world of massive destruction.

Up Where The Air Is Clear

One of the more fun achievements you can earn revolves around finding and scaling the highest buildings. Earning this achievement is reminiscent to being King Kong, particularly since one of the buildings happens to be the Empire State Building. So lets run down the list of what buildings you need to climb to get this prize.

Empire State Building:

The first recognizable building you get to climb is none other than the Empire State Building. Its silhoutte should be easy to spot, and it really is a nice view from the top. No wonder King Kong felt compelled to climb up its lofty heights. This building can be found in the Lower East Side and should be easy to spot.

Stark Tower:

Stark

The second building you need to find is Tony Stark’s home, Stark Tower. Yes, Marvel does allude to other comic book characters in this game, so of course they have to pay homage to where Ironman hangs his hat. This dark and somber-looking building can be found - where else - in Hells Kitchen.

Chysler Building:

Chrysler

The third building to look out for is the Chrysler building. A majestic ediface of sand-colored stone, you can work your way up its glass-filled sides to peer out over the Lower East Side. You might have seen this one while you were scaling the Empire State Building.

American International Building:

AmerInt

The next building you’ll be looking for is located in the Financial District, namely the American International Building. For those who don’t know, this gothic building was the 3rd largest building in existence when it was finished being built. It has been surpassed in height since then, but its easily recognizable as you jump your way through the city.

Trump Tower:

Trump

Last - but definitely not least - is the heavily publicised Trump Tower. This modern work of civilization lies deep within the Financial District, which is not surprising of course. Its still fun though, to climb its exterior and see the world how maybe Donald Trump sees it.

Once you’re done climbing the last building, you’ll receive the achievement for scaling the top five buildings in the game. You can choose to destroy each one after you scale them of course, which is really fun too. Just make sure you finish climbing to the top before they began to fall down.

Outside Of The Game

There are a few other non-story-mode achievements that can be earned, whether you are through with the story or just working your way through it. Some of these have to do with the destruction one would expect from the Hulk, and some are just what could be called sightseeing achievements.

Apprentice Of Disaster - If you manage to destroy a building in every New York City neighborhood, you’ll get this achievement.

Terrifying Tourist - Finding every subway station in New York City and you’ll get this noteworthy accomplishment added to your resume.

Master Of Disaster - Destroy every building in a neighborhood, and not only will every available unit be out looking for you, you’ll also get this title to hang over your doorway.

Around The World In 80 Steps - To get this particular achievement, you need to cross the tops of all the flagpoles outside of the United Nations building. This one ain’t easy, believe it or not.

Pickin’ Up The Pieces - Once you destroy 10,000 things, you’ll earn this one. While this may sound like a lot, you’ll probably earn this halfway through the storymode without even knowing it.

That’ll Leave A Mark - One of the more fun achievements, this consists of sticking 25 wrecked vehicles to the side of a building. Nothing like playing squash with someone’s BMW, is there?

Patron Of The Arts - All you have to do for this one is view all of the various Concept Art items at least once. For any fan of comic books - and especially if you’re a fan of the Hulk - there’s a lot of really nice artwork for you to enjoy in this game.

Now Playing - Once you reach a score of 6,132,008, you’ll get this particular achievement. Its not really apparent at first what this number has to do with anything, but if think about it, you’ll realize this is when the movie of the same name and story came out (i.e. 6/13/2008).

Final Thoughts

In all, there are over fifty achievements to be found in The Incredible Hulk game. Quite a few of them have to do with actions that happen during the storymode, but there’s a lot of fun to be had once the story is done as well. Not all of them have been talked about completely here, so there’s still going to be plenty for you to go discover. Don’t let this opportunity pass you by. This game has a lot to offer, and there’s nothing better than checking out these various sights as you work through the destruction of the New York City landscape.
