Wow’s version of Valentine’s Day, the “Love is in the Air” holiday takes place in February of each year. World of Warcraft characters must adorn themselves with sweet-smelling perfume and cologne in order to earn gifts from NPCs throughout the game world. There are candies to be collected, a unique companion pet to earn, and drunken shenanigans to take part in. Check out all the achievements associated with the Love is in the Air holiday.

Candy Consumption Achievements

Like Valentine’s Day, a big part of the Love is in the Air holiday is candy so, not surprisingly, several achievements are candy-related. The “Be Mine” achievement is awarded to those who manage to get six of the eight possible candies from the [Bag of Candies] item. The possible candies: “Be Mine!” “I’ll follow you all around Azeroth,” “All Yours,” “I’m all yours!” “Hot Lips,” “You’re Mine!” “You’re the best!” and “I LOVE YOU.”

Earn the “Sweet Tooth” achievement by sampling all of the holiday candies: [Buttermilk Delight], [Dark Desire], [Sweet Surprise], and [Very Berry Cream].

The “Lonely?” achievement can be earned by sharing a [Buttermilk Delight] with someone in Dalaran using their [Romantic Picnic] item.

Fistful of Love Achievement

Broken Heart

The “Fistful of Love” achievement is earned by using a [handful of rose petals] on each of the following race/class combinations: Gnome Warlock, Human Death Knight, Night Elf Priest, Draenei Paladin, Dwarf Hunter, Tauren Druid, Orc Shaman, Troll Rogue, Undead Warrior, and Blood Elf Mage.

This achievement is always a fun one, leading to people shouting out the locations of hard to find combinations in Dalaran and hordes of people scrambling to find them.

Achievements of Affection

Naturally, people are required to spread the love during the holiday, and there are a series of achievements that can be earned by expressing affection. The first, “Flirt With Disaster,” is earned by players who get completely smashed on some in-game alcohol, throw on some perfume, use a [handful of rose petals] on either Sraaz in Ironforge or Jeremiah Payson in Undercity, and then kiss him. As the achievement description says, you’ll regret it in the morning.

To earn the “Heartmender” achievement, players must use the [Unbestowed Friendship Bracelets], found in gifts received from NPCs, to remove the “Broken Heart” debuff from 20 players.

For those who prefer to take a more direct approach to earning affection, the “Shafted!” achievement is the reward for shooting ten other players with the [Silver Shafted Arrow] item.

Love is in the Air Item Achievements

Stormwind During the Festival

To earn the “I Pitied The Fool” achievement, players must use the [Love Fool] in the following items and then use the /pity emote on them: Wintergrasp, Battle Ring of Gurubashi Arena, Arathi Basin Blacksmith, The Culling of Stratholme, and Naxxramas.

Finding a [Lovely Black Dress] inside a Gift of Adoration will earn you the “Lovely Luck is on Your Side” achievement.

The “My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose” achievement is awarded for obtaining a [Boquet of Red Roses] or [Boquet of Ebon Roses] from bosses in Utgarde Keep, Halls of Stone, and Ahn’kahet. The roses can be earned in both normal and heroic modes.

Obtain a permanent Peddlefeet companion pet by receiving a [Truesilver Shafted Arrow] from a gift during the holiday to earn the “Perma-Peddle” achievement.

To earn the “The Rocket’s Pink Glare” achievement, players must fire off 10 of the heart-shaped [Love Rockets] in 20 seconds or less.

Gift- and Quest-Based Achievements

To earn the “Nation of Adoration” achievement, players must receive a Gift of Adoration from each of their faction’s capital cities. Darnassus, Ironforge, and Stormwind for Alliance characters and Orgrimmar, Thunder Bluff, and Undercity for members of the Horde.

The “Nearest and Dearest” achievement is the reward for completing the “Love is in the Air” storyline quests, beginning with “Dangerous Love.”

“Fool for Love” Meta-Achievement

To earn the “Fool for Love” meta-achievement and the title, players must complete all of the following Love is in the Air holiday achievements: “Heartmender,” “Flirt with Disaster,” “Nearest and Dearest,” “Nation of Adoration,” “Sweet Tooth,” “My Love is Like a Red, Red Rose,” “Shafted!” “Lonely?” “Fistful of Love,” “The Rocket’s Pink Glare,” “I Pitied the Fool,” and “Be Mine!”

It’s worth noting that the requirement for the “Be Mine!” achievement was lowered from all eight candies to just six following the fallout regarding the difficulty of completing the meta-achievement.
