The Khajiits

Similar to the Rakshasas in the D&D realms, the Khajiits are a race with both human and animal characteristics, specifically feline. Their appearance is more feline than human however, as their heads resemble those of cats, displaying great whiskers and fangs, and they have paws which allow them to be speedier and agile.

The Khajiits originally hail from Elsweyr, which is a province situated in the southern coast of Tamriel, belonging to the Cyrodilic empire and therefore of Imperial basis. The Elsweyr region is held together by the Mane, or a race which rules supreme above all Khajiits, being of exceptional rare breed, and takes all final decisions regarding the confederacy’s matters. Khajiits are also known for their moon sugar, a narcotic and highly intoxicating which is thought to hail from the sky as part of a blessing by gods of magic.

Khajiits are excellent warriors, agile and possessing great speed, and rarely favour the use of magic. Although they are not completely strange to the arcane, they prefer to use their stealth or natural fighting abilities. They are natural boxers and good at any form of free-fighting.

Attributes, Skill and Abilities

The main attribute is great Agility, which starts at 50 points and makes them ideal acrobats or thieves. This race also favours the Speed, Strength and Intelligence attributes. Their personality can also be imposing, although not as much as an Imperial character for instance. All these skills start at 40 points, but they are not as high as some of the other races.

Khajiits have incredibly high Acrobatic bonuses, at +15 points, with all other skills being considerably less at +5 points.

Special abilities: Eye of the night – Night Eye which allows you to see in the darkness or fight against invisible enemies (50 points for 30 sec on self). Eye of Fear – Demoralize Humanoid, which cripples opponents for a short time (100 points for 30 se on Target).

Playing the Imperial

With such high Acrobatics bonuses and the high Speed attribute, you can travel anywhere at great heights in a short amount of time. This means a great acrobatic character, with good stealth skills if you wish to play a thief-type. These things combined also means that you can fall from great heights without taking much damage.

Good hand-to-hand combat skills are naturally available, although you can choose to fight with light weapons such as the dagger or short-sword.
