Guild Wars is the top free MMORPG game and players everywhere are falling in love with the characters, story, and scenery. With the newest expansion Eye of the North: Guild Wars players are offered a chance to enter the world of dungeons and receive new loot. Fronis Irontoe’s Lair is one such dungeon in Guild Wars that has impressive rewards for completing the dungeon or killing bosses. This dungeon consists of only 1 level where the final battle will find you face to face with 2 bosses; Fronis Irontoe and Lieutenant Mahgma. You will also find stone summit, ettins, and stonewolf enemies lurking about that are levels 20 through 24. You must equip

your brass knuckles and fight with new skills to complete this dungeon.

First grab the quest Kilroy Stonekin’s Punch-Out Extravaganza! from Kilroy Stonekin in Gunnar’s Hold. He will assist you inside Fronis Irontoe’s Lair, fight by your side, as well as lead the way. If Kilroy Stonekin dies during the dungeon do not worry. Simply kill the group or person that killed him and he will respawn to help you fight once more.

Location and Navigation of Fronis Irontoe’s Lair

Finding your way to the location of and then navigating through any dungeon in Guild Wars can be a challenge in itself without mentioning the bosses, your henchmen not listening, and other problems that can arise. Dungeons are spread out all over Eye of the North in hidden locations that you must discover yourself. There will not be a marker on your map to the location of any dungeon unless you have taken your character to the spot and uncovered it. However, to reach Fronis Irontoe’s Lair you will only need to talk to Kilroy Stonekin in Gunnars Hold after receiving the repeatable quest Kilroy Stonekin’s Punch-Out Extravaganza!

Follow the inside dungeon map carefully to avoid unnecessary fights and going down the wrong tunnels. Even though Kilroy Stonekin will lead the way he also takes your kills which in turn means your drops. To make sure you get all the loot possible from this dungeon you can let Kilroy die when you reach the first ettin and then proceed on from that point alone. Tapping your corresponding number key on the keyboard while clicking your skill that makes you get up will make death almost impossible. Follow this map if you wish to venture out alone in this dungeon.

The skill bar you obtain in this dungeon allows your character to almost never die. The only way you can die is to not pay attention to the screen or glitch. This is why Fronis Irontoe’s Lair is a perfect place and a popular spot to obtain the Survivor title in Guild Wars. Once a character reaches the appropriate level to venture to the Eye of the North inside Guild Wars it is simple to reach Gunnar’s Hold while avoiding most, if not all, mobs and creatures. Once inside you are free to complete the quest line and start earning the Survivor title for your characters. Since you are using brass knuckles during this dungeon taking the second profession of Assassin and putting attributes in the appropriate place for your weapon will help the title go a lot faster. Also, hard mode speeds things up a great deal as well by cutting the dungeon run time for this title in half.

Furthermore, upon reaching the tunnel full of stone summit before the first boss room it is possible to run through the rest of this dungeon without fighting the mob in the first boss room. This makes farming the end chest simple and easy. Simply wait for Kilroy’s speed buff and take off running. Stay to the right side of your screen and hug the wall when you reach the boss room and slide by the right side of the boss group. Keep running until you’re almost to the end boss and regain your health and energy before proceeding. You just skipped the hardest part of this dungeon and only have two people left to kill before your chest drops.

Fronis Irontoe’s Lair Rewards

At the end of the Fronis Irontoe’s Lair dungeon a chest will spawn that is called Irontoe’s Chest. This chest will open one time giving 2 items in hard mode and 1 in normal mode. This specific chest awards:

  • Dwarven Ale

    Irontoes Chest Guild Wars

  • Aged Dwarven Ale

Upon completion of Fronis Irontoe’s Lair dungeon players will also get 750 Dwarven reputation points in hard mode and 500 in normal mode. These numbers are cut in half for any future dungeon completions. Try to keep an eye on Kilroy during this dungeon because when he looses aggro he goes ahead and starts fighting another group leaving you behind. This is a solo dungeon and you can only complete it alone making it a good place for farming chests, loot, and ale. Even if you bring your pet it will not appear in this dungeon, all fighting is done by you and Kilroy.
