Quick Take

The sequel to F.E.A.R. is an exciting first-person shooter survival horror game. If you are struggling with the single player campaign you may want to try out some cheats but sadly the developers have deactivated the console. In this article you can find out about trainers, hints and intel.

F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin

There has been a growing trend amongst developers to disable the developer console upon releasing the game and this makes it harder for gamers to activate any cheats. F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin is no exception and so unless you want to experiment by editing game files then you won’t be able to use any cheats in the single player.

Trainers

Currently if you want to be able to enact cheats such as unlimited health, unlimited ammo, unlimited armor, no reload, no weapon overheat, unlimited slow motion, improved accuracy, increased sprint speed, unlimited sprint, hover mode, no clipping mode and teleport then you will have to download a trainer.

Trainers are standalone programs which you download and then run alongside the game. They are written to intercept and alter the memory addresses of games that are running in the background and they can include features that were never programmed by the developers. They generally include hotkeys to activate the cheats in game. If you are going to download a trainer then make sure to check it is virus free before using. You will find that you have to keep the trainer program running the whole time you want to use the cheats and you will need to make sure you have the correct version of the game for that particular trainer or it probably won’t work.

Trophies or Achievements

Unfortunately the PC version of F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin also lacks trophies or achievements. The PS3 version has trophies which can be unlocked if you perform various tasks and the Xbox 360 has a similar set of achievements but the PC version has neither. However the game looks and plays better on the PC so it is still the best version to get.

Hints

Since there are no cheats currently available here are a few hints to keep you going. If you complete the single player campaign on any difficulty level you can unlock the Project Harbinger menu background. Not massively exciting I know.
