For those mages that like to reign down fire and brimstone from the heavens to their foes below, this is the talent tree for you. For all about mages see: The Wonderful World of Mages by mdweems.
Master of Elements – You can put up to three talent points in this skill, so long as you have 15 other points in other parts of the tree. Your frost and fire spell criticals will refund a percentage of their base mana cost. Talent point one is for 10%, talent point two is for 20%, and talent point three is for 30%.
Playing with Fire – This talent has slots for three talent points and it requires 20 in other fire tree areas. It will increase all the damage caused by your spells and all the spell damage taken. Talent point one is for 1%, talent point two is for 2%, and talent point three is for 3%.
Critical Mass – This has three talent spots for points and it requires 20 in other fire tree areas. It will increase the chance of critical strike for your fire spells. Talent one for 2%, talent two for 4%, and talent three for 6%.
Blast Wave – Only one talent point needed but it requires 20 in fire talents and one in pyroblast. This is an instant spell with a 45 second cooldown and a 215 mana cost. It has a flame wave that damages for 16-192 fire damage. It will daze them for six seconds too.
Blazing Speed – This takes two talent points and it requires 25 in other fire talents. It gives a chance when hit by a ranged or melee attack to boost your movement by 50% and remove the moment restricting effects for up to 8 seconds.
Fire Power – This can have five ranks and it requires 25 points in other areas of the tree. It will increase the damage your fire spells do by a percentage. Talent point one is for 2%, talent point two is 4%, talent point three is 6%, talent point four is 8%, and talent point five is 10%.
Pyromaniac – Space for three talent points it only requires 30 talent points in the fire side. It will give you a chance to critically hit and it will reduce the mana cost of the fire spells. Talent point one is for 1%, talent point two is for 2%, and talent point three is for 3%.
Combustion – This takes one talent point and it requires three in critical mass and 30 in fire talents. It is instant, with a three minute cooldown and a cost of no mana. It will cause your fire damage spells to increase critical strike chance by 10%. It will last til you have 3 critical strikes with the fire spells.
Molten Fury – Taking two talent points this requires 30 other fire tree talents to be taken first. It will increase the damage of all your spells against targets that have less than 20% of their health. Talent point one by 10% and talent point two by 20%.
Empowered Fireball – This talent has five ranks and it requires 35 points in other talents. It will increase your fireball spell, gaining an additional percentage of the bonus spell damage effect. Talent point one is for 3%, talent point two is for 6%, talent point three is for 9%, talent point four is for 12%, and talent point five is for 15%.
Dragon’s Breath – This takes a talent point and requires one in combustion and 40 in other fire talents. It is an instant spell with a 20 second cooldown (that it shares with cone of cold) and a cost of 475 mana. It targets foes in front of caster to take 370-430 fire damage and disorients them for 3 seconds.
