Game Play (4 out of 5)

Now, I haven’t gotten too far into the game, as I just started playing this one about a month or more ago, but so far, I’m impressed with the game play. While it’s not set in a movie and you don’t play out the movie’s themes or antyhing, you interact with the characters in the movies though, as they give you quests to do throughout the game. So, the game play kind of picks up where the movies left off, so you aren’t always wondering why they didn’t do a specific scene or anything. To me, this is much better, as you never know what is in store for you next.

As far as the game play goes aside from the main toons you can interact with, the quests and missions are pretty fun. You have to prove yourself as a pirate to the others - fighting British soldiers, stealing boats, and more. It’s a load of fun to me, as I love to see what the next quests will be.

The controls are simple to learn, and mimic most of the other main MMO games out there, like World of Warcraft. So, it won’t take you long and you will find that you’re running your toon through like you’ve been playing Pirates forever. Overall, when it comes to game play for Pirates of the Caribbean Online, I give it a 4 out of 5.

Graphics (4 out of 5)

The graphics on Pirates of the Caribbean were actually better than I had expected. The toons move well, and they aren’t too grainy or pixilated. The terrain and the other areas that you go through are well designed and I didn’t notice many areas at all where there were problems with the graphics or bugs. To me, this is impressive. I was worried that the graphics would either be really bad or really good while you were still and sucky while you moved around. But, instead, it looks like Disney actually did a decent job of designing the game overall. While there are some areas that can use some work, it’s really fine how it is if they don’t ever improve them.

When it comes to the character graphics, it’s fun to design your toon. The only problem that I have with this part is that there isn’t enough customization when it comes to how your toon looks, and you have to choose a pre-made name. Now, there are so many combinations of the names that you have to choose from that you can easily create a name that no one else will have. But, still, I miss the custom name that you can choose in other MMO games.

Overall, I’m giving the graphics a 4 out of 5.

To Play or Not To Play? (4 out of 5)

In my humble gaming opinion, I would recommend that anyone who is a fan of the movies check out Pirates of the Caribbean Online. It’s massive fun and you will love the story lines and the game itself. For those that didn’t love the movies, then it may not be the game for you.
