The Autobots

The good guys in this fight, the Autobots are led by Optimus Prime and offer a great way to beat up on the forces of the Decepticons when they need it. You can play as four different autobots in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen: Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Bumblebee, or Jetfire.

Optimus Prime

Although he is the leader, he is still one of the kindest autobots in the group. He is extremely strong and very protective of friends and innocent people and doesn’t even like to use his powers for violence. But, according to the story of Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, he defeated the Devastator and then headed over to help free Bumblebee. But, Megatron caught him and almost killed him. He managed to escape in Stasis Lock and launched in a rescue pod to Earth where he landed in Egypt. Jetfire helped to get him working again and he was able to finally defeat Megatron once and for all. When you play as Optimus Prime, you will have to make some decisions about others in your group, so be prepared for this.

Ironhide

One of the most skilled warriors in the Autobot group, although not quite as strong as Optimus Prime. His entire body is chalked full of different weapons that you can use. The story in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is that he actually defeated Demolishor and then Optimus Prime posted him as the leader of the Autobots while he was gone, and Ironhide was to replace Optimus if he did not return. If you choose to play as Ironhide, you will find that he always has great weapons at your disposal, but he doesn’t quite have the strength that Optimus does.

Bumblebee

Probably the most famous Autobot now, Bumblebee doesn’t talk much. His story in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen is that he was the first of the Autobots to arrive on Earth to act as a spy and to help the Autobots find certain areas, people, and items. If you play as Bumblebee in the game, you can expect him to be strong, but not as strong as Optimus Prime, but he moves fast and has a great choice of weapons, even if you don’t get as many as Ironhide does.

Jetfire

This Autobot was once a Decepticon but fell out of favor with them when he started to turn against their ways, as he got tired of their “dirty” ways of dealing with other transformers. While he is really strong, he is an older transformer and is nowhere near as strong as Optimus Prime. In the game Transformers Revenge of the Fallen, Jetfire is known for helping Bumblebee escape to Earth after he was captured by the Decepticons. When he got to Earth and finally realized that he was a bit too old to be running anymore, he donated his parts to Optimus when he needed repairs after his horrific fight with Megatron.
