After you've helped Nigel West Dickens prove the effectiveness of his tonic, you'll once again be asked to assist him in the "Liars, Cheats, and Other Proud Americans" mission.
You can find Mr. West Dickens right where you left him, out at Ridgewood Farm.

Nigel's New Plan
Nigel is loading his wagon when you approach, and John expresses his opinion of Nigel's friend Seth. John wants Nigel to make good on his promise to help John get inside Fort Mercer, but first, according to Nigel, you're going to have to make some money.
Fortunately, Nigel has a plan.
Hop on the wagon and ride with Nigel to Gaptooth Breech. You can watch the journey and listen to a bit of conversation between John and Nigel or hit the button and skip directly to the destination.
Along the way, Nigel provides a bit more background information on his money-making scheme. John is going to enter a chariot race in the Breech. Winning, however, won't be easy.

Spartacus, Eat Your Heart Out
The race route will be demarcated by smoking campfires, similar to your first race with Bonnie back at the MacFarlane ranch. Your chariot controls much like any other wagon, watch the stamina bar of your horses while you're whipping them, but you'll have to be extra careful to not upset your lightweight cart.
At the count of three, the race begins. You may be tempted to pull out your revolver and dispatch other racers or their horses, but doing so will instantly disqualify you. You'll have to win this race fair and square.
The route is a twisted one, filled with tight turns, but fortunately your chariot handles like a dream. There are several sections where you have to choose between two routes. Take what seems like the most direct route, but don't worry too much if you end up on a longer section, you'll be able to make up the ground soon enough.
It sounds simple, but the best way to win this race is to get ahead early and stay there. Go as fast as possible, watch out for tight turns, and stay ahead of the pack to win easily. The race ends when you pass between the twin pillars on the plain.
After the race, a stranger offers to take care of the chariot, and Nigel suggests you leave the area quickly. Run over to his wagon and hop aboard. Another long journey and conversation ensues.
Nigel will stop and drop you off at Benedict Point. Afterward, he suggests you speak to his friend Irish in order to secure some weaponry for your attack on Fort Mercer. You'll find him in the livery shop in Armadillo.
