Most people don't even realize that they actually have a gaming style until they have played several different types of games over a long period of time. Once they have played different games for several years, then they finally begin to realize that there are certain ones that they tend to drift toward more than others. This means that they are starting to see their gaming “style”, and everyone has one. So how do you start to see your gaming style and how can you find it sooner so that you will find games that will fit you better? Here are some of the main types of PC games to help you find where your gaming style fits in:

Action Games – Most people like some type of action game, from first-person shooter games to racing games. Some titles that fall into the action category include: Code of Honor, The Incredible Hulk, and Ironman. It is usually pretty easy to find an action game that will tickle your gaming fingers and get you revved up and ready to go. Action games are usually ones that require a lot of hand-eye coordination and movement, and are normally fast-paced games that deal with running, shooting, driving, sports, and more. These types of games usually appeal to those who either play these sports or games in real life or those who want to be able to play these types of fast paced games. Normally, action games are played by younger gamers, although many gamers love them, especially the first-person shooter games.

Strategy Games – These are most games that require some planning before they can be played correctly. Some titles that fall into the strategy category include: Risk, Age of Empires, and Supreme Ruler 2020. Most players who love strategy games are those who like to think their actions through before they make their moves and like to play out their moves and their players carefully before starting a game. These types of games usually require a lot of thinking and planning before the game can be won. Usually, strategy games appeal to those who love to analyze things, carefully plan their moves, and most older players. Most younger players have a hard time with strategy games due to the fact that they take a lot of planning and patients. But, there are always some strategy games that will appeal to everyone.

Puzzle Games – These games usually appeal to almost everyone as it is easy to find puzzle games that revolve around just about anything you like. From flowers to jewels to pirates, there are literally hundreds of thousands of puzzle games out there on the web that you can find to play. Puzzle games are really a mix of both action and strategy, as they require that you have a strategy and learn how the game works before it can be won, but at the same time you also have to be on your toes and ready for action as the game moves on through the levels. These types of games require both planning and skill, so they do appeal to the vast majority of gamers out there.

MMO or Massively Multiplayer Online Games – These are the games like World of Warcraft and Age of Conan Online where there are hundreds or thousands of players from all over the world playing the same game at the same time. You can interact with these players and team up to accomplish goals. These games appeal to those social gamers who love to be able to either interact with other gamers or to try and be the best at the game so that everyone knows it. MMO and MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role playing games) appeal to millions of people as it provides them a way to escape from the every day grind of real life and be a completely new person.

While these are just four categories of gaming that are out there today, there are hundreds of thousands of pc games that you can find online and off. Hopefully, this has helped shed some light on some of the different types of PC games out there that will give you a better idea of what types of games you prefer and what others you might like to try out.
