Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe Character Guide "Superman"

Superman is a pleasure to play once you know how to make his moves and when to use them. This article shows you the button combinations you need to make all his style, super, pro and finishing moves, and gives you some hints on how to best use them to lay the bad guys low.

    Superman

    The Man of Steel is a fun, enjoyable, and entertaining character to play in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe because of his amazing array of useful attacks that makes him effective at all ranges. Forever Justice and More Justice are excellent attacks for the amount of damage they deal out to your opponent when used in a regular combo. Use a short combo like Weighted Force or Double Iron and then link it to a Soaring Knockout or Shoulder Charge to set your opponent up for the finishing move. Use Air Heat Vision and Heat Vision to stay at long range with opponents that don't have very effective long range attacks and if they try to close freeze them with Ice Breath or draw them in as they close with Inhale Capture and deliver a combo. Take the time to practice and master the attacks listed below for the Superman character and instantly become a force to deal with in the game.

    Style moves

    • Strong Swing -- attack 1 -- maximum damage 3%
    • Double Iron -- attack 1, attack 1 -- maximum damage 6%
    • Pulverizer -- attack 1, attack 1, attack 1 -- maximum damage 11%
    • The Smasher -- attack 1, attack 1, attack 2 -- maximum damage 13%
    • To the Gut -- attack 1, attack 1, attack 3 -- maximum damage 11% and Knockdown
    • Soaring Victory -- attack 1, attack 1, left + attack 3 -- maximum damage 15% and Knockdown
    • Uplifting Uppercut -- left + attack 1 -- maximum damage 7% and Pop-up
    • Upward Body Flow -- attack 2 -- maximum damage 5%
    • Weighted Force -- attack 2, attack 3 -- maximum damage 10% and Crumble
    • More Justice -- attack 2, attack 3, left + attack 3 -- maximum damage 19% and Knockdown
    • Forever Justice -- attack 2, attack 3, attack 4 -- maximum damage 19% and Knockdown
    • Knock Out Power -- attack 2, attack 4 -- maximum damage 14% and Knockdown
    • Over-Head Thunder -- left + attack 2 -- maximum damage 5% and Pop-up
    • Stomach Pain -- attack 3 -- maximum damage 5% and Crumble
    • Man in Blue -- attack 3, attack 4 -- maximum damage 14% and Knockdown
    • Power Backfist -- left + attack 3 -- maximum damage 11% and Knockdown
    • Unbelievable Kick -- attack 4 -- maximum damage 9% and Knockdown
    • Low Sliding Kick -- left + attack 4 -- maximum damage 7%
    • Gut Punisher -- down + attack 1 -- maximum damage 2%
    • Uppercut -- down + attack 2 -- maximum damage 13% and Pop-up
    • Crouching Gut Strike -- down + attack 3 -- maximum damage 2%
    • Leg Breaker -- down + attack 4 -- maximum damage 2%

    Super moves

    • Heat Vision -- left, left, attack 1 -- maximum damage 5% - a very fast long range attack that hits hard
    • Air Heat Vision -- left, left, attack 1 (midair) -- maximum damage 11% - use this attack while jumping to surprise opponents with a downward long range attack before landing and then continue the attack
    • Inhale Capture -- down, left, attack 2 -- maximum damage 16% and Knockdown - against aggressive opponents trying to get closer use this at medium range to draw them in and deliver a very strong Knockdown
    • Soaring Knockout -- down, right, attack 2 -- maximum damage 14% and Knockdown - this grab and throw attack can land from medium range and does a good amount of damage. Add it to a combo or use it after a Pop-up and you will catch your opponent by surprise
    • Ice Breath -- down, right, attack 3 -- no damage - This attack will work at medium range and allows you to have a free continuation attack
    • Ground Tremor -- down, down, attack 4 --maximum damage 7% - this attack is also good for keeping your distance from opponents who just want to get close, it will knock the opponent down from any distance, unless they block it
    • Shoulder Charge -- right, right, attack 4 -- maximum damage 12% and Knockdown - use this attack at the end of combos to knock your opponent down and add extra damage to the combo
    • Up Up and Away -- down, left, attack 3 -- no damage - this allows Superman to lift off and hover in the air for a few moments and you can still attack using the attacks listed below

    Pro moves

    • That Hurts -- down, down, attack 4, attack 1 + attack 2 -- tapping attack 1 + attack 2 at the exact moment of Superman's impact with the Ground Tremor attack will immediately add a second hit to the attack
    • Justice Served -- down, down, attack 4, attack 1 + attack 2, left, left, attack 1 -- this attack is an extension to the That Hurts pro move that delivers the two-hit Ground Tremor attack and then hits the opponent in midair with a Heat Vision attack
    • Man of Steel -- down, left, attack 2, down, right, attack 2 -- if you input both of these commands quickly, you will turn the Inhale Capture in the first command into a Soaring Knockout

    Finishing moves

    Heroic Brutality 1 -- down, down right, right, attack 1 (close) - Superman will pound his opponent into the ground, digging their grave at the same time

    Heroic Brutality 2 -- right, right, down, left, attack 4 (close) - Superman freezes his opponent solid
