Attack Legend

Attack Legend – Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe requires you to memorize four attack buttons that are called Attacks 1, 2, 3, and 4 by this guide and the game, which will make it easier for you to learn. The following table lists the button resulting in each attack for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 version.

Many super moves in the game require you to use directional commands combinations on the directional pad, such as pressing down + right or down + left, at the same time. A short cut to remember is that the game will recognize the diagonal input between the two directions on the pad as if you were pushing both at the same time. Using this fact you can quickly and efficiently perform any of the super moves requiring you to input both directions on the pad, just by pressing the diagonal direction instead. Important point to remember on diagonal commands: The input directions for the attacks and special moves used in this guide assume that the player’s character is facing to the right, so if you’re facing left, just reverse the left/right directional commands.

Practice the following attacks during your practice combat sessions to get the additional entertainment out of Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe and compete at your highest ability.

Pop-up attacks - This attack sends your opponents straight into the air, more or less, allowing you to attack them in the air before they hit the ground with a combo or simple attack. This attack is unbreakable, unless the defender uses some of the rage meter to break free.

Crumble and Knockdown Attacks - You need to keep the pressure on an opponent to keep them on the defence, which will allow you to control the action in each match. Knockdown and crumble attacks allow you to add additional damage with follow up combos and attacks while your opponent is still trying to recover from your first attack. A knockdown attack is one that leaves your opponent flat on the ground. Many of the characters have skills to help them punish opponents who are slow on their feet, like Scorpion’s Hellfire. A crumble attack will lift your opponent off the ground and leave them staggered for a split second, more than enough time to follow through with a finishing move.

A Crumple and Knock Down Attack

Klose Kombat - You begin Klose Kombat by pressing the Klose Kombat button (or Attacks 2 + 4) when your opponent is close enough, usually you have to be right next to them to iniate this attack. During this combat the combat camera will zoom in and your attack options will be limited to just the four attack buttons. The defender can also press buttons during Klose Kombat, if they are successful in pressing the same attack button you pressed to do the Klose Kombat, then the defender will perform a counter move and break free of the Klose Kombat. If the defender picks the wrong button though, you will be able to perform a maximum of four attacks during Klose Kombat and possibly hit your opponent four times.
