What are Titles
Titles in the Guild Wars game are a way to show off a player's achievements and accomplishments in the game. There are a total of 44 different title tracks across all the Guild Wars campaigns; Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall, and Eye of the North. However, players can only achieve a maximum of 43 on any given character. The two titles that collide with each other are Survivor and Defender of Ascalon. You cannot get Defender of Ascalon without dying and you cannot die to get Survivor. So to get one the character will miss out on getting the other.
Titles are displayed under the Guild Wars character’s name. To view titles in progress or to see those that are completed tap the “h” key while in game and a screen will come up with a tab that allows you an overview of all your titles. Players can also change which title is displayed on their character from this screen as well.

The Hero title is a core title in the Guild Wars game that does not directly deal with any specific campaign but instead with Player versus Player (PvP) games in Heroes’ Ascent. Heroes’ Ascent awards Fame for consecutive wins within the battleground. Fame is shared with every character on a single account. Even if the character is brand new they will have the title track if one of your other characters has completed some of it.

Heroes’ Ascent is a battleground area that must consist of 8 players with a minimum of 6 being human. Leaving a Heroes’ Ascent match does not hinder the game because a henchmen is simply placed up in the person’s place. This is a mission consisting of many different sections and parts that need to be completed. There are eleven different maps inside Heroes’ Ascent: Heroes’ Ascent, The Underworld, Fetid River, Burial Mounds, Unholy Temples, Forgotten Shrines, Golden Gates, Courtyard, Antechamber, The Vault, and The Hall of Heroes.
Winning these battles will give characters fame and faction inside the game. Each time players succeed in winning a Heroes’ Ascent battle they are awarded with 1 Zaishen Key (z-key) and a random drop of quality that includes, but is not limited to; Gold Items, Celestial Sigils, Mini Ghostly Hero pet, or Flames of Balthazar.

Hero Title Walkthrough
The best idea for players who are trying to achieve the Hero title is to join a high ranked guild that participates in Heroes’ Ascent battles. When a battle is won a message is displayed in the chat box for all players to see. Notice the guild tag or guild name. These are the guilds that are winning the games and therefore who players want to join. It takes time for high ranked players to teach such an intricate process as the Heroes’ Ascent mission. The idea is to stay focused and do not let attention waver during these battles.
Repeat wins are what gives fame and ultimately the Hero title. A maxed Hero title is a rare find inside the Guild Wars game. This title takes an unbelievable amount of time and countless teams that work together 100% of the time. These two things can be hard to come by and therefore this title is too. Good luck in Heroes' Ascent!
