Crackdown 2 Weapons: Guns for Glory

There is a wide array of weapons available in Crackdown 2. This guide will tell you what level of skill you need to unlock them and also gives information on the non-Agency guns available in the game.

    Crackdown 2 Weapons Guide

    Crackdown 2 is full of weapons, and there are two specific ways to gain access to them. The first way to gain access to weapons is by unlocking them through leveling your weapons skills (Firearms and Explosives). The other way to gain access to weapons is by taking them from Cell terrorists and then storing them at an Agency Landing Zone.

    Either way, the guns that you use while you are playing Crackdown 2 will have a big impact on how deadly you are. In this guide we’ll take a look at both categories.

    Agency Weapons

    Crackdown 2 Weapons Guide   These weapons are gained exclusively through leveling your skills and become available at Agency landing zones once unlocked.

    Firearms Skill 1

    • SMG: Very low damage, very high rate of fire, medium range
    • Shotgun: High damage, low rate of fire, short range

    Firearms Skill 2

    • Assault Rifle: Low damage, high rate of fire, long range
    • Sniper: Very high damage, low rate of fire, long range
    • UV Shotgun: Very high damage against Freaks, low rate of fire, very short range

    Firearms Skill 3

    • Ultra SMG: Medium damage, extreme rate of fire, medium range
    • Ultra Shotgun: Very high damage, low rate of fire, short range

    Firearms Skill 4

    • Ultra Assault Rifle: Medium damage, medium rate of fire, medium range
    • Harpoon: Very high damage, low rate of fire, long range

    Firearms Skill 5

    • AM Sniper: Extreme Damage, low rate of fire, extreme range
    • Turret Machine Gun: Extreme damage, high rate of fire, extreme range

    Explosives 1

    • Grenade: Medium damage, medium blast radius
    • Mag: Low damage, low blast radius (magnetic effect)

    Explosives Skill 2

    • UV Grenade: High damage vs. Freaks, medium blast radius
    • Satchel Charge: Medium damage, medium blast radius

    Explosives Skill 3

    • Flocket Launcher: High damage, medium rate of fire, small blast radius
    • Proximity Mine: Medium damage, medium blast radius

    Explosives Skill 4

    • Turret Flack: Extreme damage, low rate of fire, medium blast radius

    Explosives Skill 5

    • Turret Rocket Launcher: Very high damage, low rate of fire, large blast radius

    Cell Weapons

    Crackdown 2 Weapons   These are guns that are carried by Cell terrorists. You can pick them up after killing a terrorist with the weapon. If you want to be able to select the weapon later you must take the weapon to an Agency Landing Zone.

    • Cluster Grenade: High damage, extreme blast radius
    • Demp 90-A: High damage, low rate of fire, low range
    • Grenade Launcher: High damage, large blast radius, low rate of fire
    • Homing Launcher: High damage, medium blast radius, low rate of fire
    • Ingalls XGS: Low damage, high rate of fire, medium range
    • Ingalls AL-107: Medium damage, high rate of fire, medium range
    • Mach HMG-120: High damage, medium rate of fire, long range
    • Shrapnel Grenade: High damage, extreme blast radius
    • Sniper SX-1A: Extreme Damage, low rate of fire, extreme range
    • Rocket Launcher: High damage, large blast radius, low rate of fire
    • Quacker: Extreme damage, extreme blast radius
