You might just be in the mood for some classic Decopunk first-person shooter action, yet you either find the game too difficult, your reflexes are lacking or everything takes too long. Seems fighting the Big Sister or a group of Splicers is annoying, and Father Simon Wales is one tough boss.

That’s where this article comes in. Here, we list some of the popular Bioshock 2 cheats, codes, a link to the cheathappens mega-trainer and some unlockable weapons. Now let’s clobber that big palooka and grab the sister.

Cheathappens.com has a free mega-trainer for Bioshock 2. Make sure you choose the right versionyou’re your patched game. There are also save-games to download but you need to be an unlimited member which means paying for a subscription.

The trainer gives you the ability, via numpad, for unlimited life, unlimited EVE, a 10,000 dollars cheat and much more. First run the trainer then the game, and use the NUMPAD keys in-game. Note that the trainer can “break” the “Lot 192” mission, so disable it before doing it. Some trainer cheats:

Numpad 5 – 10,000 Dollars to invest in upgrades, weapons and other. You can keep on adding on.

Numpad 6 – 10,000 ADAM. You can spend ADAM to gain Plasmids, essentially perks which use up EVE, Gene tonics and other things which allow your character to get more powerful.

Numpad 7 – Kill every enemy, and even friendlies, with one hit regardless of how powerful your weapon is or isn’t. Essentially no different from “God-Mode.”

Altering the Configuration File: Cheat Codes

You can make additions to the “DefUser.ini” file if you are having problems with the mega-trainer, which is the same thing. You can assign function-keys (F1, F2 etc…) to serve the same purpose as the NUMPAD keys in the mega-trainer.

In Windows 7/Vista, go to“C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Bioshock2” directory. Find the “User.ini” configuration file.

In Windows XP, go to “C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\ApplicationData\Bioshock2.”

“YourUserName” stands for your profile (i.e. Users\Johnny). Open the “DefUser.ini” file in notepad. In notepad click on “Edit” and “Find.” Type “F1” and F1 will be highlighted. Type any of the following in one of the F keys, i.e. F1=ghost. Here are the cheats:

igbigbucks – Adds 500 dollars

givebioammo – Adds EVE to your pool

givehealth – Refills your health bar

teleport – Teleports to wherever your cross-hair is pointing

ghost – Turns off collision clipping, allowing you to walk unperturbed through any object.

Electro Bol/Winter Blast/Incinerate Plasmid – Unlocked at Rank 01

Telekinesis Plasmid – Unlocked at Rank 12, useful for throwing stuff around

Insect Swarm Plasmid – Unlocked at Rank 20, useful against enemies with an Elephant Gun

Pistol/Shotgun - Unlocked at Rank 01

Machine Gun - Unlocked at Rank 02

Grenade Launcher - Unlocked at Rank 06

Crossbow - Unlocked at Rank 10

Nail Gun - Unlocked at Rank 14

Elephant Gun - Unlocked at Rank 18
